1. What is the criteria when hiring a contractor?
   • Financial stability: Ask for supplier references.
   • Work References: Ask for references and then, contact them to get information on their craftsmanship and professionalism.
   • Check affiliations: research what organizations your contractor belongs to (i.e. Better Business Bureau, NARI)
   • Insurance: Contractors must be insured to protect you and your property. Ask for a copy of their insurance.
   • Personality: Make sure you feel comfortable with your contractor and that they understand what you want.
2. What is a certified remodeler?
   Contractors who, by fulfilling prescribed requirements of conduct and performance, have demonstrated a high level of competency and ethical standards in the remodeling industry.
3. Are your workers employees or subcontractors?
   Guardian's workers are all subcontractors. Guardian does background checks on each subcontractor, and all subcontractors are required to carry General liability policies, valid driver's licenses and commercial vehicle insurance.
4. What kinds of warranty does Guardian offer?
   • Materials: Manufacturer warranties apply.
   • Labor: Guardian offers a 12 month warranty on work Guardian performed as stated in the contract.
5. What about financing?
   • Guardian accepts Master Card, Visa and American Express.
   • All signed contracts have a detailed payment schedule with monies due at different stages of project completion.
